Simple question: does APT handle AZ mounts?

Hi,

I'm having a niggling problem with my SkyWatcher AZ Synscan GOTO when manually slewing.

East/West always works. North/South sometimes does, sometimes doesn't. This is with both the ASCOM pad, and the buttons in APT.

So, first question is: should APT be able to control an AZ mount? I believe it does but I need to know before I explore other possibilities.

It does and it works really well. You are using an EQDIR cable I hope ?
