Hello Ivo,
what do you think about a reminder popup to be shown when you push "Start" button or schedule a plan? The text should be customizable and in my case would be "Did you set the dithering #image properly? Have you removed the Polemaster? Is your cat nearby the tripod? :D " . I always forget to set the dithering as it should be and such as pop-up and the choice not to procede with the plan execution would be perfect.

Clear skies!

Giovanni.

Hi Giovanni,

Looks similar to the "Check Lists" feature :)

I use ball point pen and paper, old fashioned I know but it's very effective.

I know Ivo but just figure out you start the night with a plan, let's say RGB, when you want to dither every 3 images (a full set of filters) so you set dither #image to 3. After the plan finishes (and a couple of hours after you read the ToDo list) you have enough time to run a luminance plan where is supposed to dither every image: 99 times on 100 you'll forget to set #image to 1 before you hit the Run button. Anyway it was just a suggestion, after a few shot you realize that if you haven't been sleeping yet :)

Clear skies,
Giovanni

In the middle of the night, in the middle of nothig , dark, humidity and wind, a ball point pen and a paper are perfect I'd say! :D
Just kidding...

Hi Giovanni,

Message on plan start can break some automations and there is need to check the logic more deeply, so we can't address it for the next official version.

As workaround till we reach that point in the ToDo list you can create a check list to take a look before starting the plan. Kind of "dew resistant" version of the paper and pen ;-)

Hi Ivo,
I can imagine the business logic behind a plan start and of course it's better to put effort elsewhere. Take my suggestion in case, in the feature, you will review that logic and this feature will find room to be added. Thanks for the hint!

Clear skies,
Giovanni
