Hi all,

I hope this post is appropriate here.

I had an itch to scratch: creating plans for APT is time-consuming and prone to errors. Imagine you want to photograph 10 targets in a night (as for example when I visit supernovae or scan galaxies). Creating a plan for all targets with PhD control, goto, etc would take a very long time with a lot of steps. So I wrote a program to do so: APT Plan Generator.

http://aptplangenerator.com
http://blog.aptplangenerator.com/p/apt- ... anual.html

It creates plan for many targets (current supernovae and a 10,000 DSO catalog are provided) and adds it to APT.

It's currently in beta testing, so expect issues.I use it often and it does the job for me, but it could be useful for others. Feel free to test it and send me suggestions/comments.

Thanks for your comments.

Thanks Ivo!

I'm planning to improve it. I've only spent a couple of days on it when I was on holiday.
